Banks are closed today on February 28, 2026, as it is the fourth Saturday of the month. Banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays in a month. Banks are open only on the first, third and fifth (in case) Saturdays in a month unless specified as a holiday in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar.
Banks are also closed on all Sundays, regional and national holidays, as per the RBI holiday list.

Digital banking will be available on Saturday
Irrespective of the bank holiday, bank customers can use internet banking, SMS banking and WhatsApp banking services for financial and non-financial transactions if they have registered for services with their respective banks.
Transactions such as checking account balance and statements, ordering cheque books, paying bills, recharging prepaid phones, transferring money, booking hotels and tickets for travel, seeing your spending trends and much more can be carried out as usual.
