Are Banks Open On Hanuman Jayanti?
At first glance, people assumed that Hanuman Jayanti would mean a nationwide bank holiday. However, April 2 is not a pan-India bank holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act. Maundy Thursday is a Christian holy day observed during Holy Week, just before Good Friday. It commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his disciples.
